Generals Prepare to Host TCL All-Star Game

Posted: Updated:

After securing the TCL's best record through the first half of the season, the Generals prepare to host the league's best at the TCL All-Star Game tomorrow at Riverside Stadium. Generals head coach Michael Oros will be at the helm for the Red Team in the exhibition. This marks the first time in Oros' four years with the team that the Generals have won the first half of the season, and the prospects of coaching some of the best talent in the league is very exciting to him.

"It's great. The best in the TCL will be out there for the All-Star game and the Home Run Derby," Oros said Tuesday. "It should be a very well-played game. Lot of talent out there and hopefully the community will come out and watch."

Things should only get easier for Oros' team, as the Generals managed to secure the league's best mark despite playing just 10 of their first 26 games of the season at home. The second half of the campaign figures to be much lighter travel-wise, a welcome sign for both Oros and his players.

All-Star Game festivities will begin at Riverside at 6 PM Wednesday with the TCL Home Run Derby, followed by an on-field hot dog eating contest and the All-Star Game itself around 7.
