Coastal showers moved inland this morning in the eastern parts of the Crossroads. Temperatures in the morning started off in the middle to upper 70s instead of 80s like we saw Monday and Tuesday. Today we will see temperatures into the middle 90s with scattered showers around. The next few days will we see better chances of showers and storms. Tropical moisture from the Caribbean will be on the move to South Texas. National Hurricane Center is still giving this tropical wave a small chance of development at 20%. Heavy rain is possible especially during the weekend.
I am still expecting rain amounts 2-4" with locally heavier amounts. Western Texas and the Southwest will see tropical influence with Hurricane Bud as it continues to work northward. Bud is beginning to weaken as it encounter cooler sea surface temperatures. Rain chances will decrease by mid week next week as the tropical low weaken. As a result of the rain and clouds, temperatures will be cooling into the upper 80s. Lows will remain very steamy into the middle to upper 70s.
