City of Victoria selects Wesley Janecek as New Assistant Finance Director
(VICTORIA, TEXAS) The City of Victoria has selected Wesley Janecek as the new Assistant Finance Director.
A native of the Victoria area, Janecek worked for the last seven years as Audit Supervisor for Bumgardner Morrison & Co., LLP. His experience includes serving as the lead auditor on several audit engagements and tax return preparation.
In addition to his finance industry experience, Janecek is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
“We’re excited to have Wesley join the City of Victoria,” said Gilbert Reyna, City of Victoria Finance Director. “Wesley’s experience in all aspects of finance and accounting, combined with his leadership skills overseeing personnel at various levels, will add to the City’s executive leadership team.”
In his new role, Janecek will supervise the City’s Finance, Purchasing and Municipal Court departments; prepare monthly and quarterly reports (including investments and sales tax); and manage the City’s investments.
Janecek graduated from University of Houston-Victoria in 2011 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and earned his CPA designation in 2014.
