It has been another nice afternoon in the Crossroads with 70s and 80s. The southeast winds will allow for temperatures to only drop into the 60s. Thursday will be the last day for good weather before changes head our way. Temperatures tomorrow will be in the 80s with breezy conditions. A cold front will begin to make its way into the Crossroads on Friday. The Storm Prediction Center has placed an enhanced risk for seeing severe storms across the Ark-La-Tex and Missouri. A slight risk runs down into Houston.
Since we will be on the southern end of the event, all of the Crossroads is placed in a marginal or low end scale for seeing severe weather. The better chance of seeing storms will occur after dark. I am expecting the cold front to pass late Friday night into early Saturday morning. The weekend is looking very nice with sunny skies and temperatures cool into the lower 70s. Sunday and Monday morning will be the cool into the 40s. High pressure in the upper levels will keep our forecast warm and dry next week. Highs next week will warm back into the middle 80s with lows increasing into the 60s.
