UHV Baseball Sweeps Texas College Saturday

UHV in action this afternoon at Riverside against Texas College. Jacob Atkinson in the bottom of the fifth with this single scoring Nathan Letien. Jags are up 3-1. Jonathan Jimenez pitched a great game going six and a third giving up one run and striking out 11.

In the top of the seventh, the Steer loaded up the bases. The Jags would get a pop fly and ground out to second to win the game 3-1. Atkinson recorded 2 RBI. Chase Tamez went 2-3. 

In Game Two, Jags win 11 to 0. Joshua Fonseca went 2-4 scoring two runs and 2 RBIs. Jacob Mihalski went 2-4 recording 2 RBIs. Atkinson, Almendarez, and Sheldon had a RBI apiece. UHV scored five runs in the third and fourth innings. Collin Quinn was the winning pitcher going six innings strong giving up no runs. 

Jags return back to action against LSU Alexandria April 6th and 7th. Jags are now 10-21 overall and 6-8 in conference play.
