Today and tomorrow will be the last dry days for the next couple of days. The big storm system from California will be making its way across the Central United States this week. We will see scattered storms Tuesday. Storms are likely Wednesday into early Thursday morning. Some storms on Wednesday will be on the strong or severe. The best chance of rain will come on Wednesday.
The main threats Wednesday will be large hail, gusty winds, and heavy rain. The cold front will slowly make its way into the Crossroads by Thursday. I am expecting rain amounts between 1-2" with some locally heavier amounts. Rain and storms will begin to make its way off the coast by Thursday morning. Clouds will begin to decrease and we will see highs Thursday afternoon into the middle to upper 70s with some sun.
With a dry atmosphere, temperatures at night will fall into the 50s. Friday into the weekend I am expecting sunny to mostly sunny skies with temperatures climbing back into the 80s. Lows will rise back into the upper 60s. The models suggests another cold front diving south by next Sunday into Monday. We shall see how far south it goes.
