UHV Baseball Loses Both Games Against LSU Shreveport Sunday

UHV Baseball in action in a doubleheader taking on LSU Shreveport. Earlier in the game, players from UHV and Shreveport folded the flag up as the strong winds earlier knocked the flag down from the pole.

We pick the game up in the 6th inning, Jags are up 5 to 4. Pilots Layton Laird hits a ground ball to the infield. Pilots base runner avoids the tag. Harrison overthrows Chase Tamez at first base. Pilots tie the game at 5.

Beaux Guilbeau hits a single which would score two more runs. Pilots score five in the 6th. Jags are now down 9-5.

In the bottom of the sixth, Zachariah Vela with a single. Later, Joshua Fonseca with a double leading to Vela scoring a run. UHV would score two more runs in the 7th inning. However, Jags would lose Game 1 9-8. 

In game two, UHV would lose 8-3. UHV is back in action Wednesday at home against Texas A&M Kingsville.
