Warmer Temperatures on the Way

Posted: Updated:

While skies remained mostly cloudy over the Crossroads this afternoon, the much anticipated moderation is temperatures is well underway.  The mercury climbed well into the 60s today, and following a very mild night will surge into the upper 70s on Thursday.  Look for some isolated rain showers Thursday morning, but a strong southwesterly wind in the mid levels of the atmosphere will end the rain threat by noon.  Most of Friday looks warm as well, but a cold front in the late afternoon will send temperatures downward and residents grasping for their coats.  At least the cold air will be short lived, with a warm up as early as Sunday.  However, an extended period of scattered showers begins with the front on Friday and lingers through the middle of next week.  We will even throw in thunderstorms for your Tuesday.
