West Volleyball Girl Commits To College & H.S. Soccer Scores

West volleyball setter Emily Olson commits to sign with Weber State, back in her home state of Utah. Emily was the Warrior MVP this season and earned district Co-Setter Of The Year honors. Several internet reports have Yoakum football star Josh Moore visiting Texas this weekend. Yoakum football head Bo Robinson told me his alma mater, UT, will not be visited by Moore this weekend, but that he will tour the Forty Acres another weekend. Coach Robinson told me he believes Florida State is in the lead to get Josh's signature on National Signing Day February 7. Last month, Moore  de-committed from signing with Nebraska. Moore is ranked by 24/7 Sports as the nation's number 86 player and number nine player in Texas. 


High school soccer. After wins Thursday in the Southside tourney, 3-1 over Southside and 8-0 over Uvalde. the East boys won twice more Friday. First over Brackenridge, 3-0, then 3-1 over Laredo Cigarroa. The Titan boys next game at the tourney is Saturday morning at 11:30 vs. Alice. At the Cajun Classic tournament Friday, 

the West girls Won 1-0 against hamshire-fannett. Vivian Gonzalez scored  the goal. Ambar Garcia and Kristina Gonzalez combined for the shutout with 4 and 3 saves respectively.Won 4-0 against Bob Hope. Vivian had 2 goals and 1 assist. Lauren Fric had 2 goals. Zen McKenzie had an assist. Ambar Garcia had 9 saves.
