Community Meeting to Review Revised Guadalupe River Flood Impact Statement

Posted: Updated:

The DeWitt County Office of Emergency Management, City of Cuero, and the National Weather Service will host a community meeting on Tuesday, January 9 at 9:00 am and 6:00 pm at the Cuero Municipal Park Clubhouse.  Officials plan to discuss the revised Guadalupe River Flood Impact Statement.

Elected officials use the impact statement when life safety and protection of property is of major concern during an emergency. Property owners in the floodplain also use the impact statement to make decisions about protecting livestock and other property.

Information regarding the Guadalupe River floodplain will also be available.  Development in the floodplain requires a permit available through the Office of Emergency Management.

The meeting is open to the public.

The municipal clubhouse is located at 201 Leonard Roy Harmon Drive in Cuero.
