Riverside Stadium Turf Friday Update

Posted: Updated:

A big move at Riverside Stadium Friday. Workers from Hellas Construction in Austin, putting on the new Field Turf in the infield at the stadium Friday afternoon. Workers told me they will be doing more work on the turf this weekend. City Of Victoria public information officer O.C. Garza tells me the city is applying for FEMA reimbursement for the cost of replacing the turf. That's because it's a city asset that was ruined by the Guadalupe River flooding caused by Harvey. UHV baseball plans to start pre-season workouts at Riverside on the 15th.
