SBA announce updated Harvey Disaster Loan numbers

Posted: Updated:

The Small Business Administration has updated their numbers for disaster loans issued in Victoria after Hurricane Harvey.

According the the SBA, about three billion dollars in disaster loans have been issued across Harvey affected residents in the State of Texas. Victoria County has seen over twenty four million dollars loaned out, with twenty one million going to homeowners or renters and almost three million going to small business owners. While the deadline for individual loan applications has passed, small business owners still have options.

"We have two locations here in Victoria. One's at the Garden Hilton; the other is at Victoria Towers. People can go there to find out what kind of paperwork they need to file for small business loans, particularly an economic injury disaster loan, which can give them working capital to be able to keep their business afloat while they're waiting for the area to recover." explained SBA Public Information Officer Bobby Petty.

Petty adds loans can be issued to small business owners for up to two million dollars, depending on their need. You can visit the disaster recovery center for more information. The locations for the Disaster Recovery Center and the Disaster Loan Outreach Center is listed below:
