Trey's Forecast Discussion For Thursday 12 - 7

Posted: Updated:

?

TODAY: LIGHT RAIN, DRIZZLE AND COLD. HIGH: 45. WINDS: N 10 - 20 MPH. RAIN CHANCE 100%.

TONIGHT: RAIN LIKELY..BRIEFLY MIXED WITH FREEZING RAIN OR WET SNOW. LOW: 34. WINDS: N 10 - 20 MPH. RAIN CHANCE 90%.

FRIDAY: MORNING RAIN, AFTERNOON CLEARING. HIGH: 55. WINDS: NW 10 MPH. RAIN CHANCE 20%.

EXTENDED FORECAST: SATURDAY THRU WEDNESDAY: HIGHS IN THE 60 TO NEAR 70, LOWS 30'S AND 40'S. MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES.

SYNOPSIS: COLD AND RAINY CONDITIONS CONTINUE TO DOMINATE THE REGION, RESULTING IN UNPLEASANT OUTDOOR CONDITIONS. OVER RUNNING MOISTURE FROM THE PACIFIC OVER THE SURFACE COLDER AIR KEEPING THE SKIES OVERCAST AND THE NEAR CONSTANT LIGHT RAIN AND DRIZZLE FALLING THROUGHOUT THE AREA. THE ATMOSPHERE MAY COOL EVEN MORE OVERNIGHT TONIGHT, WHICH MIGHT ALLOW FOR SOME BRIEF FROZEN PRECIPITATION TO FALL IN THE AREA. IF ANY, THE TIME FRAME OF THE PRECIP WILL BE BETWEEN ABOUT 2AM AND 8AM FRIDAY MORNING. WITH SURFACE TEMPERATURES LOOKING TO REMAIN ABOVE FREEZING, ANYTHING THAT FALLS WILL BE BRIEF IN NATURE AND NOT ACCUMULATING. HOWEVER, SOME BRIDGES OR OVERPASSES MIGHT HAVE SOME ICING...SO DRIVING WILL BE AN ISSUE, BUT SURFACE ROADS WILL NOT BE IMPACTED, THANKS TO ABOVE FREEZING GROUND SURFACE. RAIN MOVES OUT FRIDAY MORNING AND SKIES CLEAR FRIDAY AFTERNOON, SO THE SUN WILL RETURN FRIDAY AND LAST THROUGH MUCH OF NEXT WEEK. DAYTIME HIGHS WILL WARM INTO THE 60'S THROUGHOUT THE PERIOD, WITH LOWS STILL REMAINING COLD, IN THE 30'S AND 40'S..... THANKS TO LOW HUMIDITY LEVELS. TEMPS JUST ABOVE FREEZING FRIDAY AND SATURDAY MORNINGS..SO PROTECT YOUR PETS AND TENDER VEGETATION DURING THESE TIMES.
