Yoakum Football Regional Final Preview

Posted: Updated:

Yoakum football, gearing up for its regional championship game Saturday night. Last Saturday night, Van Vleck ran into Moore trouble. Jordan Moore scored three rushing touchdowns in the first half, and his twin brother Josh had two touchdown catches in the second half in the 43-19 win. Head coach Bo Robinson told me how pleased he was with his whole team's effort. "I thought the kids played pretty hard. I thought it would be tough playing them for a second time. They have some kids that can hurt you. We knew they would have a few big plays and they did. But we contained those and we knew we could wear them out offensively if we didn't make mistakes." Yoakum football now heads into the 3A Division Ine regional finals. The Bulldogs head into a marquee matchup and a playoff rematch at Darrell K. Royal Memorial Stadium at UT-Austin. They face Goliad, a team they beat in the regional semifinals last year, 23-21.
