Victorian Church Celebrates the holidays in a different way

Posted: Updated:
Its holiday season and we are seeing all different types of celebrations Throughout the Crossroads.
One local church is changing things up this year and helping people celebrate in a very different way.
Faith family church held an event called childhood Christmas this morning.
The purpose of the event was to create a family fun event, where children were able to do different activities.
The activities include a petting zoo where kids got to feed and pet some animals.
They also had pony rides, and train rides for the children.
It's the holiday season and pastor Tony Velasquez tells me the importance of the event.
"Obviously everyone is celebrating Christmas time, we just want to make sure we create an event and an atmosphere where people are feeling welcomed, feeling like they belong. Feeling like there is hope, joy and peace, says Tony Velasquez, Youth Pastor.
Pastor tony says that there is more events to come during the month of December.
A few of their upcoming events are, Adopt a block on December 9th at 9am, Christmas Traditions on December 9th at 6pm.
Those events will be held at Faith Family Church.
You can find more of their events on their website here.
