Santa Run event helps suffering children

Posted: Updated:

Local children fighting cancer got some of their Christmas wishes granted today.

The Kory Kubeca organization helps children fighting with cancer.

The Santa run event held today was to grant the wishes of children fighting cancer.

"Mainly all from the crossroads area, currently fighting cancer...all different types of cancer," explains James Monroy, Public Relations officer.

Santa was escorted by motorcycles to come speak to the children.

The organization started after Kory Kubeca passed from leukemia.

"After kyle passed I started this organization," states Linda Bonelli, Kory's mom.

His mom Linda started the organization because she says "there was a need to get Christmas presents to children in hospitals."

"They are able to wish for what they want, so we go out and buy that specific gift for each child. Each gift is specific to the child," says James Monroy, Public Relations officer.

The organization granted the wishes of about 14 children today. If you would like to help you can go to facebook and search Kory Kubeca Santa run.
