Cuero football is on to the regional finals. The Gobblers won at Heroes Stadium in San Antonio Friday night over Navarro, 38-24, in the 4A Division II Regional. The Mean Green now faces Wimberley in the the 4A Division II state quarterfinals.

We kick it off with our Howard Esse, in S.A. for Cuero and Navarro, 4A Division II. Full moon rising, and so were the Gobblers. Cuero would start the scoring in this game…from the 2 yard line, QB Drew Riemenschnider handed the ball to senior Jared Love for the touchdown…missed xp, Cuero 6-0…Gobblers would score right before the end of the first period…Watch number 4, Riemenschneider as he eludes the tackler in the backfield and rushed the 4 yards for the score…made the score 12-0…Mean Green tried the 2 point conversion from the spread formation and Riemennschneider ran it in!  Conversion good, Cuero 14-0
