Parts of Stayton Ave and Commercial St to Close For Repairs

Posted: Updated:

Beginning on Thursday, November 30, 2017, the City will close Commercial Street and Stayton Avenue to through traffic from Craig Street to Victoria Street to make pavement repairs.  This road closure is expected to take 1 week, weather permitting.

All businesses in the construction zone will remain open and accessible, and the public is encouraged to support businesses in the work zone.  Through-traffic can avoid delays in the work zone by seeking alternate routes.

This construction is part of the $3,903,377.29 Downtown Water and Sewer Line Replacements   (Ph IV - Projects 1a, 2a, & 3a). The contractor is Palacios Marine and Industrial Coatings, Inc. of Palacios, Texas.
