Vandals damage several classrooms and library at East HS

VISD statement on vandalism at Victoria East High School:
Early Tuesday morning two people entered East High School and vandalized the inside of the campus. The vandalism caused extensive damage to several classrooms and the library. 
VISD is working in coordination with the Victoria County Sheriffs Office to identify the people responsible. The district is also determining the extent of damages in order for the SO to file the appropriate charges.
District staff is making necessary repairs in order to ensure the classrooms that we're damaged are ready when students and staff return on Monday.

      DALLAS (AP) - The driver of an SUV that struck and killed a Dallas police officer on a motorcycle has been arrested.  Authorities say 32-year Dallas Police Department veteran Senior Cpl. Earl Jamie Givens was killed by a suspected drunken driver Saturday while accompanying the funeral escort of another Dallas officer.
