Leigh Waldman is humbled to begin her journalism career in the Crossroads. She is from Dallas/Fort Worth. She attended Texas Tech University and received her bachelors degree in journalism in May 2017. She was the philanthropy chairperson of her sorority and did works for breast cancer education and awareness.
Her passion for storytelling started in college after her first journalism professor told her about the power and influence journalists can have. She was able to intern at CNN at the Southeast Bureau and work at major news events like the 2016 presidential election, the Pulse Nightclub shooting and the Dallas police officer shootings. Leigh's journalism motto is to be a voice for the voiceless, a watchdog to the powerful and to seek the truth in all things.
