Unemployment rates fall to record lows in Texas, Alabama, and Hawaii in October

Unemployment rates rebounded across the state and in the Crossroads.

Unemployment rates fell to record lows in three states last month, Texas, Alabama, and Hawaii, according to the labor department. In Texas, the unemployment rate fell to 3.9 percent. The lowest unemployment rate recorded in four decades.

In Victoria county, the rate sits just above the state 's at 4 percent down from 5.5 percent a year earlier.

Nine other states also saw a decline in the unemployment rate, while only three states saw job cuts. nationwide, the jobless rate fell to 4.1 percent in October, a 17 year low.

The biggest October gain was in Florida, which added 125,300 jobs as it recovered nearly all the jobs lost due to Hurricane Irma.
