Texas Zoo Officially Reopens

The Texas Zoo is officially re-open for business.
Months after the damage from hurricane Harvey, the Texas zoo held its official grand re-opening today.
to kick things off the new executive director Liz Jensen gave remarks of how she wants to move forward.
Throughout the day the zoo had many different activities and events.
One of those events was interacting with the animals.
Guests got to hold and pet the animals. 
"excellent. We've done a lot of really really hard back breaking work to make the zoo open and available to guest. This is our official reopening and also a thank you to all of our volunteers."
The Texas Zoo still needs a lot of help. If you would like to donate you can visit texaszoo.org or just visit the zoo.

      Back in December the Victoria Transit lost 32 buses in a fire.  The transit received a grant in February to help them cover the remaining cost not covered by insurance.
