First Church Service In Sutherland Springs Since The Shooting

Posted: Updated:

It's been one week since the worst shooting in Texas history. Emotions going, tears flowing, during First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs Memorial service for the fallen victims. Pastor Pomeroy fought back tears as he gave powerful remarks to his congregation. He says to have victory you have to have wounds.
We should not quit or give up the fight even if we lose a round.

Senator John Cornyn was in attendance and gave remarks to the church. He says your trials aren't in vain. People around the world are praying for you and supporting you and holding you up. People came from all over the world to show their support. Christine Carver came all the way from Waco to share with the family.
I was really impressed by how joy filled the service was despite heartbreak. My heart wasn't broken, it was very sad but the joy people showed. I come a little more hopeful," said Carver.

I heard many people in attendance took away hope from the service. Pastor Pomeroy says next week the service will be held in First Baptist Church.
