Victoria County making progress on debris pickup

Posted: Updated:

Its been nearly six weeks since hurricane Harvey, and Victoria County Commissioners warn that time is running out on certain debris pickup opportunities.

Victoria County Commissioner Gary Burns spoke to the crowd at this mornings Victoria County partnership meeting  about the progress of debris removal in the county. Burns says that 95 percent of the first pass of tree limb and brush removal is complete, with several more passes still planned. Pick up for construction debris has now begun, but burns says that their contractor, Ashbritt, remains overwhelmed with other projects, that their ability to pickup will now be limited.
