FEMA Question & Answer session at Victoria College on Tuesday

Victoria College is hosting a FEMA Q&A for area residents with questions about an application for assistance. The free event will take place at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 10 at the VC Student Center, accessible from VC’s main entrance off Red River St.

Representatives from FEMA will provide information on eligibility, the application process, deadlines for applying for individual assistance and the appeal process. There will also be presentations by the Small Business Administration, Texas General Land Office and Texas Workforce Commission. FEMA’s Voluntary Assistance Liaisons will also provide an update on assistance offered by other organizations.

Customers can still have diaper bags and medical bags. Officials with the company say this change is for safety-related reasons. Cinemark says its staff members can inspect all packages that are brought inside the building.
