Jerry Jones and Dallas Cowboys Football Club Recognized with Heritage Award

(Austin, TX), October 6, 2017 - In honor of their contributions to the travel and tourism industry in Texas, the Texas Travel Industry Association (TTIA) presented its Heritage Award to the Dallas Cowboys Football Club on Oct. 3 during the association's 32nd Annual Texas Travel Summit held in Arlington. Owner Jerry Jones accepted the award in person at the TTIA Awards Gala. The Heritage Award recognizes and honors outstanding businesses and organizations that have enriched the heritage of and made a lasting, positive imprint on the Texas travel industry by demonstrating a history of exceptional achievement, exemplary business practices, innovative corporate culture, and a commitment of excellence to their customers and their community. 

"The Dallas Cowboys are known as 'America's Team' for a reason," said TTIA President & CEO David Teel. "They are an indelible part of the Texas culture and brand. With a history dating back to the 1960s, they have long been a leader in the Texas travel industry. The love for the Cowboys expands across state lines and oceans, attracting visitors from across the globe."

Under Jerry Jones' leadership, the Dallas Cowboys have won three Super Bowl titles, built the largest NFL venue in Arlington, and have been recognized by Forbes as the most valuable sports team in the world.
