Hurricane Harvey left its destructive mark in the Crossroads and now Victoria County will start repairing several county buildings that have been damaged.
The county exempted contractor bidding to start immediate repairs expected to cost $1 to $1.5 million.
Victoria County Judge Ben Zeller says a Victoria Regional Airport hanger, county extension office, Officer's club building, the historic jail, County Fire Marshal's office, Justice of Peace #3 office and the archive building suffered extensive damage.
There are other county buildings with minimal damage, according to Zeller.
The county will use insurance money for the repairs. That money will be reimbursed by FEMA.
