(VICTORIA, TX) – The community is invited to attend a special ceremony on Monday, Sept. 11 to honor and remember individuals who lost their lives in the September 11, 2001 attack on the World Trade Center. The ceremony will be held from 7:30 to 8 am at DeLeon Plaza in downtown Victoria.
James Martinez, Criminal Justice Program Coordinator at Victoria College, will perform the National Anthem. The Victoria Police and Fire Department Honor Guards will present the colors. The invocation will be given by Victoria Police Department Chaplain Henry Learn.
Welcome remarks will be given by Victoria Assistant Fire Chief Robert Fox. Brief remarks will be provided by Mayor Paul Polasek, Victoria County Judge Ben Zeller, Victoria Fire Chief Taner Drake and closing remarks will be given by Victoria Police Chief J.J. Craig.
