Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health clinic experienced heavy damage due to Hurricane Harvey and is now in the process of rebuilding.
The clinic, which serves people with mental disabilities, has been forced to relocate their clients due to the damage from Hurricane Harvey. The campus took damage to the swimming pool and gymnasium and all but one greenhouse was destroyed beyond repair. Even with these set backs, Executive Director Pam Reed says the clinic will continue to see clients.
"Well, we're working very hard to stage our clients back to the Victoria campus... We still have clients, our staffers there. So, in a sense we're open, we're just not open in the same place we typically are."
Officials believe it will be sometime before repairs can be completed and believe any funding that can be donated can help their rebuild. The clinic hopes to resume normal operations for their clients by early next week.
