SYNOPSIS: UPPER LOW OVER SOUTHEASTERN TEXAS, NEAR HOUSTON, WILL CONTINUE TO SLOWLY MOVE EASTWARD TODAY. HOWEVER, WITH LOW STILL NEAR US, AVAILABLE MOISTURE AND INSTABILITY OVER THE AREA, ANOTHER DAY OF SCATTERED RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS CAN BE EXPECTED. CHANCES WILL SLOWLY BEGIN TO REDUCE WEDNESDAY INTO THE WEEKEND, AS THE LOW MOVES AWAY AND HIGH PRESSURE WILL BUILD IN FROM THE WEST. THE HIGH PRESSURE AREA WILL CUT OFF RAIN CHANCES BY SATURDAY INTO NEXT WEEK. WITH MORE SUN AND LESS CLOUD COVER, DAYTIME HIGHS WILL RETURN BACK TO THE UPPER 90S, HEAT INDEX VALUES 105 PLUS EACH AFTERNOON.

TROPICS: TROPICAL STORM FRANKLIN IS CURRENTLY LOCATED OVER THE YUCATAN PENINSULA OF MEXICO, AND IS EXPECTED TO ENTER THE FAR SOUTHERN GULF, (BAY OF CAMPECHE) BY TUESDAY EVENING. FRANKLIN COULD BECOME THE FIRST HURRICANE OF THE 2017 SEASON, BEFORE MAKING LANDFALL IN MEXICO. FRANKLIN WILL NOT IMPACT SOUTH TEXAS.
