Wells Fargo is expanding its internal review of its sales practices, a move that could uncover significantly more unauthorized accounts opened by bank employees. The bank disclosed the review in a filing with the securities and exchange commission. That review which initially dated back 2011 is being expanded to 2009. Wells Fargo believes it will be finished by the end of the third quarter.
General Motors is recalling about 800,000 Chevy Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 pickup trucks from 2014.
The automaker says the vehicles can temporarily lose power steering, especially during low speed turns. this could cause the driver to lose control of the steering wheel.
A majority of the recalled vehicles are in the U.S., but about 100,000 were sold in other markets.
GM will notify owners and dealers will update the power steering software for free.
