Goliad missing man's truck found in Harris County

Posted: Updated:

A Goliad man's abandoned truck was found Thursday afternoon in Harris County.

Johnny Lee Martin, 44, was last seen by his family on Saturday, July 8th, 2017 at a family gathering in Woodsboro. His family says Martin told them he was leaving to shower and would come back to the gathering. Martin's family says he never came back.

The family asked the Goliad County Sheriff's Office to perform a welfare check at Martin's Goliad residence. Goliad deputies did not find any sign of foul play.

Martin's truck was found abandoned in Harris County on the Northside of Houston near the Houston airport Thursday, July 13th, afternoon. Harris County Sheriff's Office checked surveillance cameras of a Mexican restaurant near where the abandoned truck was found.

Martin arrived at the parking lot then another vehicle pulled up beside him. Martin got out of his vehicle and a man got out of the other vehicle. Martin got inside of the man's vehicle and they drove off together, according to Goliad Sheriff's Office Captain John Pape.

Martin formerly worked for a company in the Houston area.

Martin is a 44 year old white male, 5'7 feet tall, between 165-190 lbs, blonde hair, green eyes and usually wears a baseball cap.

If you know Martin's whereabouts please contact the Goliad County Sheriff's Office at (361) 645-3451 or your nearest law enforcement agency.
