More than 400 UHV Students Graduate Saturday

More than 400 University of Houston-Victoria students are tossing their caps, calling themselves college graduates tonight.

The University held two commencement ceremonies at Faith Family Church this afternoon. Students graduated from the schools of Arts & Sciences and education, Health Professions and Human development and Business Administration.
President of Taylor Construction Management in Houston, Troi Taylor gave the keynote address. Students weren't the only ones recognized for their academic success, faculty members also received awards for excellence in teaching, research and service.

"I'm so excited. I'm excited for the future. I'm thankful to god and I just cant wait for whats to come. I'm do an internship, a summer internship and then hopefully find a permanent job in the future," UHV Graduate, Natalie Cespedes said.

The university broadcasted the ceremony live on their website so family members near and far could watch their graduate cross the stage.
