Victoria College commencement ceremonies set for Saturday

A total of 331 students will participate in Victoria College’s 92nd Annual Commencement on Saturday at the Victoria Fine Arts Center.

The commencement ceremony for students graduating with Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, business or industrial trades degrees or certificates will begin at 9 a.m. The ceremony for students who are graduating with allied health or public service degrees or certificates will begin at noon.

VC Professor of Music and Fine Arts Chair Jonathan Anderson will deliver the commencement address for both events. Christal King will be the student speaker for the 9 a.m. ceremony and Shanice Malone will be the student speaker for the noon ceremony.

VC President Dr. David Hinds will deliver the welcome and introductions and also make the closing remarks at both commencements.

VC will graduate a total of 434 students for the Spring 2017 semester.
