One man dead after Edna Police chase ends in crash

One person is dead after high speed chase with Edna Police ended in a crash. 

The crash happened at the Intersection of FM 1822 and FM 3131. Officials say around 2:30 a.m.  Emmitt James Harris, 39, hit speeds of more than 120 miles per hour when pursued by Edna Police. The chase lasted almost an hour. Harris' vehicle went through a stop sign, skidded off the driveway and eventually hit a gate post of a metal pipe fence. Harris  was pronounced dead at the scene.
