The awards keep coming in for a UHV senior. Andrew Gross, named NAIA National baseball player of the week, Gross tied the UHV all-time home run record by belting his 38th on the last day of regular-season play. In just two seasons on the field for the Jaguars, Gross tied the record. In 38 chances in the field, Gross did not commit an error last week. The first baseman had four hits and two home runs in UHV's first win in five-straight meetings against NCAA Division II St. Mary's.last week, Gross also had 11 RBI's while going 11-for-18 at the plate. Gross finished the season as the conference leader in home runs for the second consecutive year. Monday night at the UHVawards banquet, Gross won Men's Athlete Of The Year and Baseball Player Of The Year honors.
