UHV softball player Aubri Hockenbury earned her second Red River Athletic Conference Player of the Week award on Monday.
Hockenbury drove in 10 runs to help the Jaguars to a 5-1 week and a four-game sweep over Langston University in conference action. Her play earned her the conference honor for the week of March 20-26.
The outfielder from Santa Fe opened the four-game series with Langston going 6-for-6 with two homes run, a double and 10 RBI. For the week, she compiled a .533 batting average going 8-for-15 at the plate with four runs scored and three walks.
Her two home runs in the opening game of the Langston series tied a UHV single-game record, while her seven RBI in the opening game also tied a UHV single-game record for most RBI in a game.
She is tied for third in the conference with 31 RBI and is second in home runs with eight.
LSU-Alexandria’s Marci West was named the conference pitcher of the week.
