Newark, NJ (Sports Network) - New Jersey Devils forward Dainius Zubrus will miss Thursday's home game against the Tampa Bay Lightning with an upper-body injury.

The veteran Zubrus has one goal and three assists in nine games this season. He apparently suffered the injury in Tuesday's win over the New York Rangers.

A timetable for his return remains uncertain.

Replacing Zubrus in the lineup will be rookie Stefan Matteau, who had been a healthy scratch since last playing on Jan. 29.

Matteau, the 29th overall pick in 2012, will make his sixth appearance with the Devils, meaning the first year of his entry-level contract will be activated.
