Sunrise, FL (Sports Network) - Florida Panthers forward Scottie Upshall is expected to be out of the lineup for several weeks with what is being called a lower-body injury.

Florida head coach Kevin Dineen made the announcement following Friday morning's practice.

Upshall was hurt and left Thursday's 6-3 win over Winnipeg with an apparent right leg injury. In a scrap which occurred at the 5:43 mark of the third period, fellow combatant James Wright wrestled him to the ice near the boards during a fight and Upshall's knee bent awkwardly as he fell.

The 29-year-old winger has totaled one goal and 15 penalty minutes in seven games this season.
