New York, NY (Sports Network) - Next year's Super Bowl at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey might be staged without a live halftime show in the building.

According to the New York Post, the potential for frigid temperatures at the first Super Bowl in an open-air, cold-weather venue has NFL officials contemplating a hiatus for the usually highly anticipated halftime extravaganza.

The Post quoted sources as saying it's not just the entertainers that would have to deal with the weather, but the crews that put together the stage.
