West softball won its district opener big Friday night at the Victoria Youth Sports Complex. The Warriors whipped Beeville, 14-3, in six innings. Karly Rae Hoerig got the win with five strikeouts. Megan Marthiljohni for West went 4-for-5 with six RBI's. Brandie Plummer had two hits and two RBI's.
