West boys basketball All-Region player Ruben Trevino is doing a light leg workout the day after having surgery on the ACL and meniscus in his knee. Spurs team surgeon Dr. David Schmidt performed the surgery Thursday and said he would release Ruben in September, the month before basketball practice starts. Dr. Schmidt said Ruben should be out on the court in about two months. No scrimmaging for now for the junior-to-be and it will take him six months to be playing.
