UHV women's golfer Heather Shake had a first round to remember at the NAIA National Championships in Lincoln, Nebraska. Heather shot a six-over 78, but then she was disqualified for using a non-conforming club, a wedge in this case. UHV golf head coach Brian Williamson is appealing the disqualification to the U.S. Golf Association, so Heather may still be eligible for the championship in her final two rounds. She had 7 bogeys, 7 pars, 3 birdies and 1 double bogey in her round.
