UHV softball made its 2014 home debut by sweeping a doubleheader from Texas Southern Wednesday night at the Victoria Youth Sports Complex. The Jaguars took game one, 8-6. Savannah Crittenden was the winning pitcher, as the Jaguars got three RBI's from Shelby Smith, two apiece by Marley Moehrig and Alex Holland.
In game two, Holland tossed a three-hitter with five strikeouts as UHV won, 7-4. Moehrig with two more RBI's as UHV evened its record at 3-3.
