In the first in-season NAIA National coaches softball poll released Tuesday, UHV is ranked 20th.
That happened while the Jaguars were in home doubleheader action vs. Huston-Tillotson.  Marley hit a home run, went 2 for 3 with 3 RBI's, as UHV takes game one in five, 11-2. Alicia Fikac was the winning pitcher, tossing a four-hitter. Shelby Smith drove in a pair.
In game two, the Jaguars' Seminole Youngblood tossed a three-hitter. Two RBI's apiece for Smith and Rachel Laird, as the Jaguars get the sweep taking game two, 12-1. Moehrig with three hits in game two and an RBI. Saturday afternoon at one, UHV softball, winners of four in a row and seven of its last eight, takes on Northwood in a doubleheader at the Victoria Youth Sports Complex.
