UHV softball received an at-large bid Tuesday to the NAIA National Championships Opening Round. The Jaguars softball team will be headed to Montgomery, Alabama, for the NAIA opening round. The Jaguars got the news while watching the tourney selection show on the NAIA website. UHV softball, with a 33-13 record, is the number two seed behind Auburn-Montgomery in that bracket, and UHV will start play there on Monday against IU Southeast of Indiana. This is the fourth time in six years, and the third straight year, that the Jaguars will be going to Nationals. UHV dropped one spot in the NAIA National coaches poll to #20 on Tuesday.
