UHV softball was swept in a doubleheader at the Victoria Youth Sports Complex Wednesday night. A&M-Kingsville won game one, 4-2, with the Javelinas pushing across the winning runs in the sixth. Megan Carter got the loss, Jaguar RBI's from Alex Holland and Marley Moehrig. A&M-Kingsville shut out UHV in game two, 3-0. Adela Gomez' solo homer in the fourth off losing pitcher Tanya Carlson was all the Javelinas needed, but they got two insurance runs in the seventh. The Jaguars, now 2-8 with six straight losses, were held to just five, two of them by Krissa Powell.
