UHV softball's season ended Tuesday in the NAIA Opening Round in Montgomery, Alabama. The Jaguars lost to Bryan of Tennessee, 9-8. Shelby Smith's two-run single and Alex Holland's two-run double led a six-run Jaguar rally in the fourth to take the lead. Bryan had a rally of its own, scoring four in the sixth and the winning run in the seventh off losing pitcher Savannah Crittenden. In her last game as a Jaguar, Marley Moehrig went 3-for-3 with two RBI's and two runs scored, as the Jaguars finish the season with a record of 33-15.
