Vance Edwards recorded a final round even-par 72 Tuesday to finish tied for seventh at the San Antonio Shootout at TPC San Antonio.
Edwards finished the 36-hole event with an 8-over 152 after an opening round 80 on Monday. Edwards finished just four shots out of first place.
The Jaguars finished in 13th place in the tournament turning in a final round 308 to finish at 648. Oklahoma City won the team title posting a final round 295 for a 607, one shot ahead of Oklahoma Christian, who posted a final round 291. Our Lady of the Lake placed third at 609 and Johnson & Wales (Fla.) was fourth at 616.
Behind Edwards for UHV, Steven Jones turned in an 85-74-159, while Colton Martin shot an 89-80-169, William Dawson-Hicks an 86-86-172 and Jake Truss a 94-82-176.
The Jaguars will be back in action on Monday and Tuesday in Fort Worth for the 2013 NAIA Contender hosted by Northwood University.
