The United States Golf Association denied the appeal Wednesday from UHV golf head coach Brian Williamson on the disqualification of Jaguars golfer Heather Shake at the NAIA National Championships. Shake was disqualified for using a non-conforming club, a wedge. Williamson appealed to the USGA, saying the NAIA used a rule to disqualify Shake that will not become an official USGA rule until 2016. She’ll play the next two days but will not be eligible to win.
